This is the official website of CASASAI (Combative and Sportive Arnis System Assoc. Incorporated), an organization that promotes the Filipino Martial Art – Arnis. This site contains Arnis Videos, Arnis Grandmasters’ Profiles, Arnis Articles and all other things about arnis/eskrima/kali!

We are an organization committed on promoting CASAS (Combative and Sportive Arnis System) designed by Master Guru Melecio O. Balberde and Master Guru Lino B. Baldevarona. CASAS is an arnis system wherein it utilizes modern and scientific approach in training students to learn self-defense techniques and skills in arnis sport competitions. What makes CASAS unique is that it begins training the practitioner with the use of double sticks. CASAS teaches twenty four variations of sinawali movements designed by Guro Mel O. Balberde to enhance good coordination in both hands. Master Guru Mel believes that good coordination plays an important role in sports competition as well as in real combat. After learning the basics of the sinawali movements the students are taught the basic strikes using single stick, and progresses to defenses, counters, disarming and locking techniques. After learning the single stick as weapon, the students will learn the espada y daga then proceeds to the Filipino knife fighting techniques. Read more >>
